After the frustration I stepped back and took some time and came back to it again. I must say this paper is probably one that has given me the most problems in a very long time. Nothing seemed to go right and nothing seemed to make sense. I am so passionate about this subject because not only is it my future career, it is also a subject that I am learn along the way as well because I am horrible at reading and always have been. I'm looking forward to getting the professors feedback on this paper to see what I can do better because I do need to practice for the future assignments to come.

Week Eight
Doing the literature review this week I felt like it was the hardest assignment yet, which it should be because it is the signature assignment. I went through the notes and watched the videos and I still did not know what approach to take to the assignment. After days of brainstorming and a whole lot of scribbling I decided to take more of the approach that the video showed of the three concepts. I was able to break my sources down into the three concepts and I felt it flowed quite well. When I first started the assignment it started out easy, the words were just coming out, but then I felt like I was getting repetitive, and then the frustration started coming.

Week Seven
This week with doing this annotated bibliography I felt very confident with the sources I have used before. I just recently tweaked my research question and narrowed it down to more of the peer reading and keeping these children on a more positive road with reading and fluency. I added a couple more resources that really furthered my knowledge and future teaching skills in the future not only for me but for others. These sources really need to be known because it could really help teachers and their children in the long run. One source that really stood out to me at first made me a little worried because it is based in Korea and not USA, but I think it's one of the best teaching tools I have found yet. I have actually found two really good new tools in both new sources that I used for this assignment, one as simple as opening a book and placing your five fingers on a random page. Tools as simple as that are easy for children to do themselves, along with easy and simple tools just to determine if the difficulty of the book is in range of the student.
I feel that any fellow teachers or future teachers could really gain great tools and information reading my article and sources. Sometimes just the simple things can make things so much easier, which is always a nice thing when it comes to having to do so much. Leatherby Library I must say as to be my favorite new search engine. Now that I have it down I want to share it with the world because it is absolutely amazing.

Week Six
The Student Conduct to me is like common sense when it comes to cheating and plagiarizing. It is something you learn about each and every year and it is defiantly something teachers make clear of on the first day of class when going over the syllabus. I also understand that sometimes when you are researching for your class and papers there is so much on the Internet and in books, sometimes you forget what you have read and what belongs to who. But with all the practice and all the sources available to you on the Internet no one should have to plagiarize. If one were to question at all, just cite it, that is how I feel and what I do. I agree citing can get pretty difficult and confusing, but having so much support from our professors and our librarians there is no excuse.
After reading the actual code of conduct and taking the quiz I defiantly feel like I need to be more careful when it comes to the papers I write and the information that I end up writing on paper. If I question the information at all I'm going to carefully site, because even using someone's else's thought process can be considered plagiarizing. I defiantly miss understood reading the part where a student can use one paper for two separate classes if the instructor accepts it. To me I just remember being told we have to even cute our own work if it comes down to it. I defiantly learned and polished up the rules a little bit going through the code and reading through it. With all the time and effort you put into your research papers for your grades, someone else took time to write down theirs too, so don't steal their information without acknowledging their hard work, just like you would want to be acknowledged for your hard work.

Week Five
This week I took a little different approach when it came to my researching. When I put in my developing fluent reader in the search engine more about the services available to children came up and how they help them along the way. I never really thought about that aspect of it so I decided to read about it, and it was quite interesting. Being in this class it really made me think outside of the box, more than I have ever before. Using all these resources and seeing all the different kinds it really had me getting deep into my subject. Reading to me is so important because I know the knowledge that comes with reading each and every piece of work.
Each week the Leatherby Library brings more good sources my way and each week I find more that I can trust with the peer reviews and the academic journals written by people with credentials and experiences in the subject that I will be working in in the near future. Librarians are the first to be looked at when it comes to budget cuts but people need to know how important they really are when it comes to these children and their reading. If children were to be in charge of picking their own books not knowing what level they are capable of reading at many children will get discouraged and unmotivated also with defeated because they would not be able to read what they choose. These librarians keep them on the right track and point them in the right direction to keep them wanting more, broadening their horizons and helping them build their knowledge.

Week Four
I was very excited to do research this week because I am starting to get the hang of this Leatherby Library thing. This week was quite simple and I came up with so many great articles when it came to dealing with fluent readers and reading as a subject for young children. Each week my subject opens more doors for me and it is really quite interesting reading things such as, if a child has a negative first impression on reading it will stick with them for life pretty much I know it is so true because I am a very weak reader and never felt anything positive when it came to reading. I know how important it is, so the source this week that I found is not only written in 2015, it is a teacher's tool that teachers of these young children can use to make sure that children have a positive experience with reading and language in general. This source that I found through the Leatherby Library gives multiple strategies on how to work with all the different types of children you will come across working with. This source is definitely one I can use in the future and it really got me interested in finding more. I have come to the conclusion that academic journals are a source I do enjoy reading most.
Wanting to work with as young of children as I want to it is all about the experiences you have with them and how they take those experiences and grow in the years. These young years are the most crucial so any little tool helps, and these academic journals are perfect tools to use, and there are studies linked so there is information to support what these authors have to give. They know what they are talking about and they have been through it before, so having that resource is positives across the board.

Week Three
This week I gave the EBSOhost another chance after I was getting pretty frustrated last week with it. I seemed to have gotten much further this week then I did last week. I signed up to sign in and borrow the books to read for my assignments. The Leatherby Library is something very new to me and I hope to get stronger at it. Each time I seem to get the hang of it more and more and get further into my research. I definitely have come to the conclusion to use less words in your search if you want to get anywhere because the more words you use the more chance the search will not find all the words and will give you a " no results found " answer. I want to say just don't give up. It does get confusing but the information that comes about really helps your searches when you get the right keywords together.
Each week my knowledge of this subject grows so much because I am learning not only for myself but for the students I will be working with in the future. With this assignment and the source that I found I was a great training source for me on what to look for when it comes to working with the different children I will be working with. The more I research all this the more I come to find that it is not only about the reading to be strong and to start so early with these young children, but it is more about the development of their fluency skills where the reading and writing comes from. When dealing with such young children it is really hard to pressure and put them through so much at such a young age when they are just barely learning how to decode and use the pictures to understand the words they are looking at. This subject is really catching my attention because I know the difficulty when you read something and after finishing the reading not really understanding what you just read in words. It can be a very strong subject or a very very weak subject, so building a strong foundation at first with them so young is important to grow in the positive direction.

Week Two
In my findings this week I actually ventured off more towards how developing fluent readers at such a young age will enhance their fluency skills all around. I, myself, am not a strong reader but I do know how important reading is. As they say, at such a young age it's all about learning how to decode and understand what you are reading. And in my readings it stated that if a young one is to have a negative experience with reading to begin with, the readings from then on out will stay negative. Starting them young and slow gives them the chance to learn the process and gain the knowledge on their own, leaving them feeling powerful and independent.
Reading is the stepping stone for the language development along with many other aspects when it comes to these little minds. Building their vocabulary and their sentence structures while reading and looking through books makes me a more confident student and all around learner when it comes to in the classroom now and in the future classes that they have. Also, helping children enjoy reading give them the option to be independent and get lost in these amazing book that we out there so their fluency skills are sharpened and it keeps them wanting to go to school, which keeps them out of trouble.
